I had the absolute pleasure of seeing 311 live for the first time at The Ritz in Raleigh, NC this week. I couldn’t believe it when I found out that they formed in 1988! I wasn’t familiar with them until their self-titled studio album came out in 1995 that went triple platinum in the US! The venue was definitely packed full of eager 311 fans that were ready for a fun evening. The band started out strong with “Homebrew”, leading in to an impressive twenty-two song set from their discography, and ending with their first-ever #1 single “Down”. The crowd was loving every minute, singing along, and I even saw a few dancing. It was definitely a night to remember for any 311 fan!
