A Day to Remember’s Least Anticipated Album Tour came through Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on July 10. The band headlined the arena with support from The Story So Far, Four Year Strong, and Scowl.

California hardcore band Scowl kicked off the night and set the tone for the evening, bringing an intense energy that had the crowd instantly hooked. Frontwoman Kat Moss captivated viewers with her stage presence. The audience, inspired by the singer’s head banging, high energy jumps, kicks, punches, and powerful screams, quickly opened a circle pit. The band performed songs from the entire catalog, including songs from their 2023 EP Psychic Dance Routine. Scowl was well received by the crowd and appealed especially to fans of the hardcore genre.

Up next, Massachusetts pop-punk band Four Year Strong kept the momentum alive with an energy packed set which included songs from their upcoming album Analysis Paralysis. It was clear that the band had a strong fan base present within the crowd, as they loudly sang along with every word. The band had the audience around the arena on their feet, and moshing and crowdsurfing could be seen in the pit throughout their set.

Setlist: Brain Pain/ It Must Really Suck to Be Four Year Strong Right Now/ uncooked/ daddy of mine/ We All Float Down Here/ Get Out of My Head/ Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die/ Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)

The energy did not falter as The Story So Far took the stage. The California band’s set included fan favorites, as well as many songs from their recently released album I Want To Disappear. The arena echoed with the voices of audience members singing along and a large mosh pit opened up, leading singer Parker Cannon to jokingly warn the crowd “Don’t die in the pit!” The band also gave a nod to the Nile theater, a staple in the Arizona music scene where many bands have played early in their careers. The band is set to tour the UK and Europe in the fall to promote their new record.

Setlist: Big Blind/ Roam/ All This Time/ High Regard/ Out of It/ Letterman/ Heavy Gloom/ Bad Luck/ Things I Can’t Change/ Nerve/ Watch You Go/ Framework/ Keep This Up/ Proper Dose

After much anticipation, Florida natives A Day To Remember graced the stage last with an unforgettable performance. The band, known for their unique blend of pop-punk and metalcore, kicked off the set with "Sticks & Bricks" and an explosion of confetti. The crowd kept security on their toes with a constant stream of crowd surfers. Leading into “Mindreader”, singer Jeremy McKinnon encouraged a new type of crowd surfing, which can be described as a person standing atop, or “surfing”, a typical crowd surfer. Many brave members of the pit attempted the task unsuccessfully, but McKinnon praised the crowd for having the most successes they have seen yet, with at least 6 making it to the barricade. McKinnon dedicated “Have Faith In Me” to the ladies in the crowd and urged other members of the crowd to hoist the ladies onto their shoulders for the song. As the night unfolded, the band played favorite after favorite, including their most recent single “Feedback”, during which McKinnon instructed people in the pit to step aside so that they could open up the biggest circle pit Phoenix has seen all year. McKinnon’s interaction with the crowd held strong throughout the night and kept the audience engaged.

The show production also made for an incredible experience for the concert goers. The show was a spectacle of lights and effects, including CO2 blasts, pyrotechnics, giant beach balls, multiple confetti blasts, streamer explosions, and toilet paper rolls tossed around the arena.

The band ended the night with “The Downfall of Us All”. After being told to “get their money’s worth” during the final song, the whole arena put every last ounce of energy they had into dancing, head banging, and screaming every last word. The largest mosh pit of the night opened in the center of the arena as a third round of confetti shot overhead.
