I was lucky enough to catch Above Snakes at their Dallas, TX date on tour supporting Adelita’s Way, Otherwise, and Moon Fever. The weather was just right as the band was ready to rip a proper rock n’ roll gig at Trees down in Deep Ellum.
Immediately after taking the stage, the band was greeted by a roar of applause. With the command of the crowd, I saw a band that was made to be on stage. The crowd was definitely ready to match the energy of the band as I saw a sea of people headbanging, singing along, and moving to the music. With a sound that I’d equate to a hard rock style with some pop moments, it was easy to see why the band is growing in popularity. It would not surprise me if Above Snakes were going to start headlining tours of their own in the very near future.
