Saxsquatch sightings abounded Friday night, March 28th, at The Secret Group in Houston, Texas. It's not every day that a seven-foot hairy, wild man makes his way onto a stage with a saxophone. And let me tell you, like many other cities on his tour, Houston was there for it! As people packed in for a sold-out show, Saxsquatch lumbered out on the stage. He passed through the forested stage set up (nice touch) and into the clearing of center stage.

A multi-talented musician, Saxsquatch not only plays the sax, but keyboard, drum machine, and upright bass. He takes popular songs and mixes them, incorporating his instruments into a stream of electronic beats that keep the crowd pleased during the entire show. He initially gained popularity and a large following making viral social media videos. Now he is taking his talent to cities near you.
The Foot Prints Tour began in Nashville and has seen sold out venues in almost every single city with stops in Albany, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and New Orleans before arriving in Houston. The tour will continue on to cities such as Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, then head back towards the east, stopping in a few cities in Colorado. In all, about 30 cities will get the Saxsquatch experience before he disappears back into the woods and goes back into hiding (to work on more music, I assume!).

A very gentle Big Foot, Saxsquatch has a few requests for his fans to make the experience the best it can be for everyone. He politely asks everyone to dress up as something one believes in, bring your dancing feet, your voice, and exhibit PLUR. PLUR is a term originating in the EDM community standing for "Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect."
His set included favorites such as "Careless Whisper", "Hotel Room Service", getting "Rick Rolled" with "Never Gonna Give You Up", "Carry On Wayward Son", and his original song "Foot Prints". And there was indeed more dancing and music than you could shake a stick at. In fact, many people did shake a stick, of the neon lit up foam variety! Coming mid-set into the audience, everyone gathered around him while he played, alit in the glow of cellphones capturing the moment to relive later. Packed into the venue, people sang along, many dressed up (I saw a hotdog!) and danced until the last song. Chants of "one more song" could be heard after Saxsquatch began exiting the stage. Although that didn't happen, fans were equally as happy to catch some pics with him before he heads off to his next stop on the tour.
