Aislinn Davis, an up-and-coming independent artist, has taken the internet by storm. Her pitch-perfect voice and undeniable talent shine on popular social media platform, TikTok, where she shares her original music and covers of her favorite songs. Never sitting still, another new track is entering her discography on January 17, 2025. "Talk to You" reaches a new height for the independent artist, hitting a suspenseful and cinematic peak.

Notably, Aislinn’s discography is jam-packed; she can really do it all —punchy pop, rock, emotional ballads, and lyrically forward tracks, some of which have risen to over a million streams on Spotify. With two EPs and 15 singles released, Aislinn is currently on the precipice of stardom. One of her most influential songs, "LMS," began to define her overall sound and power upon its release in January of last year. Yet, songs on completely opposite sides of her sound spectrum, like "Who I Am Without You," are much slower and more vulnerable. Her monumental following on social media grants Aislinn a lot of freedom as an artist, releasing tracks at her own pace. All of these successful releases have come before she has ever performed in a concert setting, besides on internet live streams where she reaches thousands of fans.

"Talk To You" packs that same punch as "LMS," but with the same unique vulnerability as "Who I Am Without You." The introduction of the new track sets the mood of dreamy cinema, as if the listener is entering the storyline that the lyrics tell. Two verses are accompanied by a bouncy and flirty drum beat; it’s optimistic. While in the chorus, the suspense builds to a head, but retracts just before release, teasing the listener for more. Aislinn’s lyricism is always improving, too, only becoming more intricate and specific as she grows as a storyteller.

“I can't even talk to you / I’m scared I'll think we’re in love / Please leave a little room / I’m always feeling to much / I’ll watch your every move / swear you’re from heaven above”

Then, the most hard hitting, huge bridge, continues to build back to the outro. This is where the huge cinematic feel comes in with this track, overwhelming suspense finally releases with something not often heard in Aislinn’s music, vocal belting. As the drums kick in for the final chorus, an electric guitar enters to idyllically accompany and support this huge vocal moment. Reminiscent of Paramore’s Hayley Williams, this track is made for the big screen.

“Only wanna talk to you I'm so boring / Tell me what I have to do or ignore me / I don’t wanna have to lose with no warning, warning, warning,”

Keep your eyes on Aislinn Davis as she continues to prove her value and worth, putting her all into not only her own music, but also connecting with fans about her biggest inspirations.
