Thriller Records’ metalcore icons, AVOID, have released an official music video for “Gator Fest” from their 2022 fan-favorite LP, Cult Mentality!
For those who aren’t familiar with AVOID, they are a band that combines all sorts of genres ranging from pop, hardcore, thrash metal, etc. together to create something you’ve never heard before; think of the introduction to The Powerpuff Girls, “sugar, spice, and everything nice!” Gator Fest is no exception to this formula, with the track being an anger-fueled, angst-filled track laced with breakdowns, heavy riffs, and choruses that are guaranteed to make you two-step in your room!
The music video features a compilation of clips, captured by both Blake Littell and Coby Rossi, from their supporting slot for Pop Evil’s Skeletons Tour from earlier this year, highlighting how truly hectic/chaotic their live shows can be. Since the track IS called Gator Fest, the band appropriately included clips from their off-days where they visited safaris/zoos, where the each member of the group has a scene kissing a gator on the lips. If you want to know what AVOID is truly all about, take some time out of your day to check this video out!
AVOID is
· Benny Scholl (Vocals)
· Nick Olson (Guitar)
· Chris Echols (Guitar)
· Paul Jaton (Drums)
