Brad Paisley, Playing at the Hard Rock Casino in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Just off the banks of the Ohio River, in Cincinnati, OH, on the first chilly Saturday night this Fall, some people went to the zoo, enjoyed one of the many museums in the area, shopped around downtown, or spent the night in the casino. Fans of country music, though? They got together for another reason. In my opinion, a much better reason.

September 7th, 2024 will be a night to remember for Brad Paisley’s fans in Cincinnati. Brad Paisley put on a spectacular show at the Hard Rock outdoor venue not far from the heart of downtown. This show comes after Brad opened 2024 with the Son Of The Mountains World Tour. He has been making albums and topping charts since 1999 when he first released Who Needs Pictures. The venue is a general admission standing room only and VIP upgraded seating.

His set opened with his 2007 hit, from 5th Gear, “Ticks”. Anyone familiar with his music knows that this lively song will get any crowd going! Brad had wasted no time making full use of the stage, one of the reasons he is a favorite performer of mine. From the moment he walked onto the stage, and opening riffs started playing, fans went wild! This high-energy show took us down on the “Riverbank”. We experienced a “Perfect Storm”, and next we were jumping into the “Water” before going “Online”. Brad also took us down to “Old Alabama”. That trek made some of us “Nervous,” but we were still “Wrapped Around” Brad’s finger.

Paisley said he was headed to Skyline Chili after the show, which made those who love the eatery very happy! “This is Country Music” and “American Saturday Night,” followed by  “Still a Guy” and “Celebrity”. “I’m Gonna Miss Her” and “Mud on the Tires” closed out the show with an encore of “Alcohol”.

During the show, Paisley brought out several special guests, including some of our armed forces and a Brad Paisley mascot, wearing a Cincinnati Bengals jersey!

This show reminded me, honestly, though of why I fell in love with country music to begin with. It tells a story. Those stories can be anything whether they are happy, fun, silly songs, or even sad ones that make us reminisce about old memories and fun times we’ve had. I was honored to get to be a part of that amazing evening. Enjoying a cool September “American Saturday Night” with plenty of fellow fans who came together to celebrate a long-standing member of the country music family in Brad Paisley.

He has been in the industry for nearly 25 years. Breaking records, including in 2009 when he amassed the most consecutive singles on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart with 10 consecutive singles. Additionally, he is a member of the prestigious Grand Ole Opry– which is country music’s highest honor. Country music is all about family.

Country music fans are a family. It is a tradition and is deeply rooted in the history of our country. Getting to share an evening with fans of the genre, fans of his amazing talent, who could have asked for anything better? Here’s hoping that Brad Paisley stops in again to the beautiful Cincinnati area to spend another evening or two with our country music family!
