If you grew up listening to metalcore, I'm sure there were countless bands you found and listened to in the hallways on the way to your next class. Who's to say which bands those were because there are just so many, I couldn't name them all. But, I'm sure that there was one band on that iPod, and that band is Miss May I.

Founded in 2007 and, then almost immediately getting signed to Rise Records, the band released their debut album, Apologies Are for The Weak, while still in high school. Talk about a dream come true. Upon release in 2009, Apologies Are for the Weak reached number 76 on the Billboard 200, number 29 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers, and number 66 on Top Independent Albums. Every track surpasses over 1 million streams on Spotify. This is no easy feat for any band and should be an indication of the massive impact Miss May I has had on the music scene.

To celebrate the album turning 15, Miss May I has sat down to rerecord the album with a special feature on each track. To me, it sounds like Miss May I has assembled the Avengers of metalcore and deathcore. With features ranging from Our Last Night & Currents to Impending Doom & Carnifex, this is sure to be a contender for album of the year. The level of heaviness is unmatched as the entire album sounds fresh and exciting with each feature. I've been headbanging and moshing along to each track. The only thing that could make this release better is if Miss May I were to announce a festival with each of the bands featured on the album in attendance. That would be a dream come true.

There's still time to order yourself some Miss May I merch and a copy of the album over at the Miss May I webstore. I wouldn't wait too long because I'm sure these items won't last long!

Be sure to catch Miss May I on tour as they head out alongside In Hearts Wake, Traitors, & Bloom as they play the album in full!
