I was introduced to the band Dead Lakes last year when they opened for Thousand Below at a show that I was shooting. I had no idea what to expect as Sumy (vocals), Chon (drums), Rossi (guitar), and Cody (bass) took the stage, but I was blown away by their sound and stage presence! I couldn’t believe I had never heard of them before! Fast forward to now, as the Seattle-based band is preparing to release their long-awaited debut album daydreamer on March 31st. I got a chance to sit down with Sumy and chat about all things Dead Lakes, and even got the scoop on a future solo project that he is working on.
