Rising stars in the new post-metalcore scene, NY-natives Glasswaves brought their unique baddie-core sound and a loaded tour package to Conduit in Orlando, FL. This incredible lineup, bolstered with locals provided by 152 Productions, featured the uber-talented KY-based group cohen_noise and newcomers Coma Waves. Rounding out the night were FL metalcore stalwarts Until I Die and scene rookies Reverya. The stars of the evening, Glasswaves are fresh off of releasing their newest single, "Downpour" in November of last year, and this spectacular combination of artists created the perfect storm of a night to remember.

Kicking off the evening was Tampa locals Reverya. To provide full disclosure, this talented trio are great friends of mine, so this section of the review is extremely biased. Anyway, do you perhaps love Spiritbox, Jinjer, and Invent Animate? (Who doesn't?) Then you must check out Reverya's debut EP Affliction In Bloom and attend a future show.
Reverya performed my favorite song off the EP, "Wisteria," a track that washes over you before smacking you in the head with a breakdown before returning to the beautiful vocals (and keys) by Nadine. Another gorgeous single they played was "Dahlia," a deeply personal track that tugs on your heartstrings and fakes you with a false ending before a soaring breakdown to conclude the track. Reverya also features guitar and drum performances by Travis Peacock and Kaleb Grumbley, respectively. This duo shines brightest on their single, "Asphodel." This trio is relatively unknown, so check them out and say you knew Reverya before they were famous.

The next local to perform was Until I Die. These Orlando scene veterans seem to get around. Their logo seems to find its way onto nearly every metalcore-adjacent show I see in the area. This strategy must be paying off as every time I have the pleasure of seeing them, they outdo their last performance. They perform with impeccable stage presence and psychology, keeping the crowd involved from start to end.
Some songs from their catalog to check out include: "New Flesh", "The Blade", and my favorite: "Scattered."

Coma Waves started the night for the tour package. I could not be happier for them to be a part of this star-studded tour package. Their guitarist, Toddi Babu is known as a legend in the FL scene for his videography work, having worked on music videos for mainstays Traitors, Bodysnatcher, and Not Enough Space. Although not featured on this tour, you may also know one of their guitarists, Mike Joseph from his work with VCTMS.
I have had plans to photograph for Coma Waves numerous times but life had gotten in the way every single time, needless to say, I was elated to finally check them out in person. They tout a unique mix of nu-grunge and metalcore featuring impressive vocals from Eric Calderon mixed with buzzsaw guitars from Babu and bassist Christian Cruz.
The FL locals performed my favorite track off their debut album Coming To Your Senses, "Dissolve." Being able to finally scream along to "Crush, Crush, Crush. Dissolve" was incredibly fun. They also performed their newest banger, "Remedy," and I urge you to give it a listen.

Next up was the endlessly energetic group cohen_noise. The moment they took the stage, they grabbed your attention. Their sound can only be described as controlled chaos. Their vocalist Nickolas Erickson sprinted around the stage endlessly while unleashing a jaw-dropping range of vocals. Sometimes, even screaming while playing the keys. After they walked off-stage, they were the talk of the venue. They stole the show with their energy.
cohen_noise tracks that I recommend to check out include: "Bloodrush", "Nova", and "Saftey In Pills." I also highly suggest you give their new EP, Some Things Aren't Forever But For A Reason, Vol. 3 a spin.

To finish off this incredible evening, Glasswaves took the stage to the classic hit, "Sweet Caroline." The first thing to jump out to me about their performance was how much value and investment they put into their stage presence. The band had a beautiful light show synced with their set, as well as matching outfits and makeup. While they may not be the largest band in the country, their production punches well above its weight.
Noah Rich's unique vocals shined throughout Glasswaves' set. "Dead Dreams" was one of my top-played songs in 2024 and I was overjoyed to finally get to hear it live. Guitarists Owen Miller and Brendan Curtis kept the crowd engaged as they ripped through their setlist loaded with fan favorites, like: "The Hell You've Made", and "Mistakes", and finished their set with the aforementioned "Dead Dreams".

This tour is a unique lineup that features up-and-coming artists that complement each other's sounds extremely well, yet have their unique lanes where they each thrive. With this tour package, you can see a future arena-sized tour in intimate venues where you can meet all of the members, for a fraction of what these bands will charge someday. Glasswaves will be a huge artist, it is up to you if you want to be an "O.G." fan or hop on the bandwagon later with everyone else.
