• Because we are 100% independent and generate no income, all opportunities are currently unpaid and volunteer-based.
• You must be at least 18 years old to apply. All locations are welcome.
• We communicate through Discord, which is required. Active participation and engagement in our team chat is a key part of the MSM experience. If you aren't familiar with Discord and would like a walkthrough, just ask!
• Monthly activity (or communicating ahead of time if you can't) is required to remain on the team.
• Our journalists focus on song/album reviews, editorials, and interviews. (Our photography team handles ALL event coverage.)
• All photographers must provide a written review for every show or festival that we cover, in addition to photos. Also, a professional DSLR or mirrorless camera is required.
• Show coverage is due within 48 hours of the event. Festival deadlines vary based on the festival's length.
• Our photographer role is highly competitive, and we do not consider inexperienced photographers. Quality is of the highest importance, and you should have a solid portfolio that showcases a wide range of lighting conditions before reaching out.
• No AI-generated content will be accepted for any roles and will result in an immediate dismissal.
