Kingdom of Giants are set to release their newest EP, Bleeding Star, on the 20th of September, 2024. This release is sure to be the stepping stone to get the band to that place as metalcore royalty as they rightfully deserve.

Keeping with that classic metalcore sound while incorporating a new sound, Bleeding Star is a 6-song banger from start to finish. The opening track "Asphalt" is such a strong way to open the EP as it delivers that awesome new electronic-y sound with some strong metalcore vibes that makes you unsure if you want throw ass or throw down in the pit. Easily one of my favorites from the EP. But, we also have "Scorpion" & "Bloodworm". You'd have to be lying if you didn't say hearing these songs didn't scratch an itch you didn't know you had. "Scorpion" effortlessly balances between being a "soft" song but still has that metalcore punchiness. Meanwhile "Bloodworm" makes you want to headbang nonstop for three minutes while screaming the lyrics at the top of your lungs. Plus, what an absolute banger way to end a song (I won't ruin the surprise).

"Smoke". Oh my God. What a cyber-punk type track that makes you feel like Ryan Gosling in Drive. "Smoke" has all the components of being a metalcore classic. The track is just so much fun to listen to and I found myself having the time of my life while listening to it. "Wasted Space" has that "soft" side but then throws it right back into the heavy. From the riffs to the ambient backing track to the gut-punch lyrics, "Wasted Space" is wasting no time finding a space in my heart (see what I did there). I'd have to throw this entire article away if I didn't talk about just how amazing the closing track of the EP is. "Landslide" is that track. A beautiful blend of tear-inducing heavy that leaves you in a puddle of your own tears and needing a hug. This is the type of song you need to play in the car with the windows down and let it all out.

When speaking about the EP release, vocalist Dana Willax had this to say:

After 4 long years of navigating life and music, it feels surreal to have everything come together the way it has. We are so proud of the Kingdom camp and have never felt better about where we are as a band. We can't thank you all enough for being patient with us, and we thank everyone who has continued to spin Passenger while we wait for the stars to align.

Kingdom of Giants is set to hit the road soon alongside Catch Your Breath & Alpha Wolf in support of Dayseeker. The tour starts on the 27th of September and fans can get their tickets here.
