You know, some days I forget just how old I am, and then bands like Miss May I remind me when they announce they're recording an album like Apologies Are For the Weak. I think to myself, "Oh, it must be the 5-year anniversary or something like that". Nope. 15 YEARS. God, I am getting old. But, good lord. Miss May I sure is celebrating the album in a HUGE way: a re-recording with an absolute all-star set of features. To give fans a taste of what to expect, Miss May I went ahead and released one of those tracks, "Forgive And Forget", and the track features Fit For a King. Oh. My. God. What a fucking banger!
The combination of Miss May I vocalist Levi Benton and Fit For A King is like a match made in heaven. A beautiful blend of pristine metalcore vocals that can leave any group of people wanting to circle pit and mosh the night away. Upon hearing the song and replaying it over and over, I feel like I'm back in my freshman year of high school hearing the song for the very first time. It is a truly magical experience.
