Railbird is a 2-day music and whiskey festival held in Lexington, Kentucky, with the first lineup debuting in 2019. Previously featuring 30+ accomplished, groundbreaking artists, such as Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan, and Marcus Mumford, this year’s lineup was already guaranteed to be nothing but a celestial experience. After much anticipation, the 2024 star-studded lineup, due to span across three stages, was announced last Thursday.
Noah Kahan, Turnpike Troubadours, and Counting Crows are just a few of the outstanding and creative artists that will be playing the first day of the weekend festival on June 1st. Kahan, a 2024 headliner, has recently taken both the pop and folk music scenes completely by storm, going from playing college auditoriums earlier this year to being the weekly musical guest on Saturday Night Live and a Grammy nominee. This year, after an announcement in 2019 of an indefinite hiatus, Turnpike Troubadours released their comeback album, “A Cat in the Rain," and are expected to play many long-awaited new recordings.
The second day's artist lineup is just as amazing and remarkable as the first. Hozier, Chris Stapleton, Elle King, and a long list of other amazing performers will be bringing the weekend to a spectacular close. Hozier will be greeted with open arms and screaming voices upon his return, as he headlined the inaugural Railbird back in 2019. In early 2023, King made her debut in the country music scene with the release of her junior studio album, which allowed her to seamlessly blend into the energy that Railbird embodies.
It is rare to find such a fantastic lineup of musicians performing together in the Midwest, and for that reason alone, I believe everyone should make every effort to attend. Layaway packages are currently available for the festival, with deposits as low as $25.00, and VIP upgrades are also available. Grab your tickets for Railbird Festival 2024 while they last!
