Fresh off the coattails of their recent album, Rain City Drive (Deluxe), Fearless Records’ Rain City Drive has returned with their new single, “Frozen!” This song bridges the gap between the self-titled era and the band’s future material.

Rain City Drive has taken the alternative music scene by storm in the past three years. Tracks like “Blood Runs Cold, “Talk to a Friend,” and “Cutting it Close” dominated the charts, especially on SiriusXM’s Octane Radio station. It is clear that the band is determined to continue this trend with “Frozen,” as it debuted on the station to critical acclaim!

“Frozen” is a tune about the feelings that materialized from being stuck in a toxic relationship, how one may find themselves continuing to hyper-fixate about the person/relationship, and how things should have been different than they turned out.

The new single was produced by Rain City Drive's drummer, Zachary Baker, along with both Los Angeles-based producer/songwriter Erik Ron (Godsmack, Panic! at the Disco, Motionless in White), who produced frontman Matt McAndrew's vocal tracks, and Australia-based producer/engineer Jimmy Alexander (frontman for Awaken I Am) who worked on the post production processes. The production team for this single have all previously worked with the band, so this new track will feel right at home for fans of the band. "Frozen" sounds like a track that could have easily fit in with the rest of the album. The track sounds huge, is catchy and could easily be used as a reference track for prospective fans looking to get into the band’s music. McAndrew’s voice has never sounded better than it does in this track. Not only does “Frozen” highlight McAndrew’s vocal talents, it allows each member’s roles to be dissected and studied by the listener’s ears.

This track is not only one of the band’s best to date; it is a song that will dominate the alternative airwaves. While “Frozen” isn't exactly different and/or innovative, that's okay, as the band has found a formula that works for them and their fans; “if it ain't broke, don't fix it.” “Frozen” is but a taste of what's in store for the future of Rain City Drive, and I, for one, am eager to hear what's next.
