Sunday night saw RØRY return to Nottingham, having graduated from the Rescue Rooms stage last year to a sold-out show at Rock City Nottingham. Two incredible bands, Lake Malice and As December Falls (for whom this was a hometown show), were the supporting acts.

When I arrived, the queue for the show had built up around the corner from the venue, and across the street, too. Barriers were out, and security was in full force to ensure that everyone was able to get in! I haven't seen a queue like that in a while!

Opening the show was Lake Malice, made up of Alice Guala and Blake Cornwall and based out of Brighton. The duo describes themselves as "influenced by Japanese Anime in style, and writing about past trauma and real-life experiences."

Alongside this tour with RØRY, Lake Malice will be heading out on tour in Germany with Bury Tomorrow, and making appearances at the 2000 Trees Festival and Slam Dunk Festival.

Opening the show, they came out full of energy and got the crowd going from the start! Lake Malice is a prime example of why you should always get to a show for all of the supporting acts. This was a band that I had never heard of before tonight, but they were out there killing it and making a massive impact.

Following on from Lake Malice, we had hometown favourites As December Falls, who are currently on the build-up to releasing their 4th album. They came out all guns blazing, with one fan catching Bethany's attention with a sign letting the band know that this was their 25th show! That fan Nakita really gets the band, and so many like her have been following them for a long time, now on the bill for this year's Radar Festival and 2000 Trees Festival, they are a band you have to check out if you get the chance!

And, of course, the main act: RØRY! Fresh on tour after her debut album entered the top 10, and now just over the halfway point of the tour, the energy is still full-blown, still electric, and still has the crowd hooked from the first note to the last! With an incredible stage setup, and duets with Bethany from As December Falls, this tour has been fantastic all the way through and RØRY is truly showing that it's never too late to achieve your dreams! Don't miss out! There are a few dates left so make sure you get a ticket, and go see this incredible show!
