Hi again! Welcome back to The Drop. These past couple of weeks have been PACKED with new releases. Honestly, I struggled with even narrowing down a selection for this installment. Anyway, let's get into it!
Sexyy Red & Bruno Mars - "Fat Juicy & Wet"
This was such an unexpected collaboration, but I am so here for it. This whole thing started with Bruno announcing he was working on a "strip club anthem" and stating he wanted Sexyy Red on the track. The internet did what it does, and within a matter of days, this track materialized on streaming platforms. This is definitely a track I see being bumped in clubs religiously this year.
Travis Scott - "4X4"
Travis Scott does NOT miss. Like ever. I saw him preview this track live at one of his recent performances, and I have been impatiently waiting for this to drop. It's a classic mix of his more melodic flows and his hard-hitting sound. I'm really hoping this single is the start of a new album roll-out.
NLE Choppa & Imagine Dragons - "Dare U"
This is yet another VERY unexpected collaboration. I don't think these two artists could be more different, but they meshed on this song incredibly well. Choppa's punchy flow and Imagine Dragon's emotional and intense vocals gave this track a spine-chilling vibe. Also, Imagine Dragons always has the most insane production for every track. I Dare U to go listen to this track.
Central Cee & Lil Durk - "Truth In The Lies"
Stemming from his new album "CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS", Central Cee delivered us this gem. This is a new sound I'm not used to hearing from Cee, and I'm loving it. Hearing Cee and Durk go back and forth over an emotional guitar-strung beat about the hardships they've faced was not on my bingo card for this year, but I'm so glad we got it. This track is worth a listen.
Jordan Adetunji & Bryson Tiller - "305"
Jordan Adetunji is slowly but surely taking over my playlist. His vocals are absolutely insane. His fresh twist on R&B, combined with a hint of NY Drill, is like a cold glass of lemonade on a hot summer day. Pairing this sound with the likes of Bryson Tiller was a genius move. This track is a hit all around.
Thank you for joining me on this new installment of The Drop! We'll see you next time for some more fresh releases.
