Hey friends, welcome back to The Drop! It's been a couple of weeks since our last installment, so we have plenty of new releases to catch up on. This one is going to be a mess of multiple genres, so buckle up! Let's get into it.

Lil Baby & Travis Scott - "Stuff"

Stemming from his newest album "WHAM", Lil Baby delivers this hard-hitting banger featuring Travis Scott. From Lil Baby's iconic Atlanta-based flow to Travis Scott's insanely catchy hook, this track is a 10/10 all around. Also, this has to be my favorite Travis Scott feature ever. His verse on this song has been stuck in my head since this track was released nearly 2 weeks ago.

Ethel Cain - "Punish"

For those uneducated on Ethel Cain, there is an entire lore going on across all of her albums. This lore is so vast that I could not possibly sum it up here and honestly, it deserves its own article at this point. This thought-provoking dark alternative track stems from Cain's new album "Perverts", and it's a long one. Coming in at 6 minutes and 40 seconds long (a short track by Ethel Cain's standards), this eerie masterpiece dives into the dark aspects of relationships. I highly recommend giving Ethel Cain's new album a listen if you love music that you can piece together. The storytelling is incredible.

Amira Elfeky - "Will You Love Me When I'm Dead"

So, technically, this track isn't new, but what is new is the unplugged version! If you know me, you know I am possibly the biggest Amira Elfeky fangirl. The way she combines nu-metal influences with modern-day emo sound blows my socks off with every new release. While the new unplugged version of this track is incredible, the original has a chokehold on me and must be talked about. The emotion poured into this song accompanied by the intense instrumental is so mind-blowing. You just need to see for yourself.

Mac Miller - "5 Dollar Pony Rides"

Mac Miller is a name that needs no introduction. Thanks to Mac Miller's estate, we have been gifted this beautifully jazzy hip-hop masterpiece ahead of Miller's second posthumous album "Balloonerism" (set to release January 17th, 2025). This track is bittersweet to many fans, showcasing his immense talent and lyrical ability over a smooth jazz-inspired beat. It's so nice to hear new music from Mac and I am SO excited to see what this new project has to offer.

Lil Skies - "High Maintenance"

Coming back for his throne, we have Lil Skies. I was super excited to see this new single was released. I've been an avid Lil Skies listener for years, and I believe he is one of the most talented artists to come out of the SoundCloud rap era. This confidence-boosting trap track will have anyone bopping their heads. If this is your first introduction to Lil Skies, I recommend listening to his stacked discography. He has made so many gems.

Thank you for joining me on this installment of The Drop! We'll see you soon with some more piping-hot releases. Till next time!
