xandri, your new favorite artist coming from Dallas, TX, is here and has just released their new single "25" at the beginning of this year! This release is the follow-up to 2021's "Disconnected" and channels a blend of pop-punk and raw emotion with high energy sounds! I had no idea what I was in for when I started the track, but it was a wild ride from start to finish. In a city full of artists from every genre, xandri is sure to solidify their spot as Dallas's next top artist.
"25" starts out with an infectious and groovy bass line and continues with one of the catchiest riffs I've heard in quite some time. It is the type of riff that dances from the speaker to your ear and won't let you stop thinking about it. The track definitely proves the concept that xandri is beyond a single genre and her ability and sound can be all encompassing. The song sounds like the love child of Depeche Mode & Michael Jackson. This incredible blend of sound allows for "25" to be a truly incredible track. Speaking of its incredible sound, the last 30 seconds have been stuck in my mind all day! In a truly shocking and surprising juxtaposition the track ends with a jaw-dropping punk-inspired solo.
If this is what the future of alternative rock is looking like, we are in good hands. xandri is really that artist that will make a mark and I am sure 2025 has a lot in store for xandri that makes me excited to catch them perform live! Fingers crossed it happens soon so I can hurry up and stop waiting. Word on the street is it might happen around the 16th and 31st of this month (hint hint).
